Slurred echoes thru the empty night

in empty parks 'til daylight

feels dark to feel alive

if only I could be right

if only I could be tonight...

she’s been hanging ‘round and round


the dotted line from me to mine

might pin me to the ground

I’ll never see the stars align

but I’d like satisfaction

to wallow in the feeling

of a heartbeat close to mine

my arrow missed and now I wait

still faded in the backseat

come down before the day breaks

fool's off to fall in line
